Question 1

Is my birth date stored or sent anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. It lives only in the page while you use it — no cookies, no storage, no uploads. The share card excludes your full birth date unless you explicitly opt in.

Question 2

Why 28 February for leap-day birthdays?

Accepted Answer

In non-leap years there is no 29 February, so we count down to the 28th — the common convention. Your exact age in days is unaffected.

Question 3

Does time zone affect the result?

Accepted Answer

We compute in UTC to dodge daylight-saving edge cases, so the result can differ by a day from your local midnight right around your birthday. The exact age is exact to the day, not the hour.
